Steel City Rounders - x were led to their 5.65 point victory by a 27.30 point effort from Dallas Clark, who snuck past the Denver Broncos defense for 43 receiving yards and 3 receiving TDs. With this performance, Clark was the number 1 ranked tight end for week 14. They also got help from a 23.25 point effort from Donovan McNabb, who got by the New York Giants defense for 275 passing yards and 2 passing TDs in addition to 5 rushing yards.
"We'll use this win as a stepping stone to the next level," Steel City Rounders - x coach John Salvini said.
Ron Mexico were helped out in a losing cause by a 42.60 point effort from Andre Johnson, who tore apart the Seattle Seahawks defense for 193 receiving yards and 2 receiving TDs in addition to 3 rushing yards. With this performance, Johnson was the number 2 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 14. They also got help from a 25.70 point effort from Frank Gore, who beat the Arizona Cardinals defense for 167 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 10 receiving yards.
"I take full responsibility for this loss," Ron Mexico coach Ryan Strickler, Brad Newton, Travis Wyczawski said.
Adding salt to the wound, Ron Mexico could have scored 180.50 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Ryan Strickler, Brad Newton, Travis Wyczawski left key players like Greg Camarillo and his corresponding 18.00 points on the bench.
Ron Mexico drew the short straw with their schedule this week, as their point total would have resulted in a win against 8 out of 10 other potential opponents in week 14. This brings the record for Steel City Rounders - x to 6-5, and drops Ron Mexico to a record of 7-4.
