First, review the questions below. And then if they don't help, you can submit a Support Ticket to us.Category: Commish & Franchise Setup| # | Question |
| 1. | How do I Add or Replace a Franchise? Answer: To add an Owner you must first increase the number of franchises. Go to the For Commissioner > Setup > General League Setup screen and increase your Number of Franchises accordingly.
Then you will want to individually edit the new franchise's information by following the steps below:
- Click on the Franchise's Link (their name on the home page or any article). This will take you to their Franchise Information Page.
- Under the "Main" tab choose Setup: Basic.
- Here you can edit this team by adding the owners email address.
- Go to the For Commissioner > Setup > Invite Franchise Owners and check this owners box to send an invite to the league. This will send them a link to log in where they can then change the password for their team.
NOTE: This can also be done to replace an existing owner with a new owner by simply editing the new owners information over the previous owners Franchise Information on the For Owners > Franchise Setup.
You can then assign the new owner a password by going to the For Owners > Change Password and enter a password for that owner to use to access the site.
If you do replace a franchise in this manner, all of the previous franchise's records and history from prior seasons will be automatically maintained by the system. There is no need to worry about losing that information.

| 2. | How do I delete a franchise? Answer: Before deleting a franchise determine if this is, in fact, what you need to do. If you actually want to *replace* one or more teams in your league (that is, you still want to keep the same overall number of teams), then use the Advanced Franchise Setup to manually overwrite all of the old franchise information with the new franchise information. Assuming you still want to delete a franchise, know that this is a one-way, unrecoverable (even we cannot restore it for you) operation so PLEASE BE CAREFUL to delete the correct one. Go to the Setup > Delete a Franchise screen, select the franchise from the list, check the disclaimer box and click on the NOW! button. THERE WILL BE NO OTHER WARNINGS. The franchise will be immediately removed, and may not, under any circumstances, be restored after it has been deleted.
Note that you cannot delete a franchise in a historical league. This screen is only available for current-year leagues. Therefore, if you need to remove one or more franchises from season to season, you must first upgrade your league to the current season and then delete the franchise(s).
In addition, you may not delete a franchise more than two weeks into the season. But, if it's more than two weeks into your fantasy season, and you really feel you need to delete a franchise, you may use this work-around to temporarily fool the system into thinking that it's within two weeks of the start of the season:
- Go to the General Scoring Setup page and temporarily set the start week for your league to be a week within the last two weeks. For example, if it's currently week 6 of the 2008 NFL season, change the start week on that page to week 5 or 6.
- Delete the franchises that you wish to delete.
- Go back to the General Scoring Setup page and reset the start week for your league to be the correct week.

| 3. | I want to resequence my franchises, assigning them different franchise numbers - what's the best way to do that? Answer: In general, we strongly suggest that you do not try to resequence your franchises, as that not only takes a lot of time to do and can cause a lot of problems with your league if it's done incorrectly, the vast majority of the time it's not necessary. The franchise number is just an identifier, it has no function on the site other than to uniquely identify one franchise from the next.
Two common reasons for resequencing franchises are:
1 ) You'd like league reports to appear in a specific order - like, you'd like the rosters report to display first franchise #10, and then franchise #2, and so on. To achieve that, simply use the For Commissioners > Setup > Custom Franchise Order Setup page, and indicate your custom franchise order there, and most league reports will be re-ordered by this new custom franchise order.
2 ) You'd like your league schedule to be arranged based on your "franchise numbers". To do that, you can use the For Commissioners > Setup > Fantasy Schedule Setup > Rearrange Franchises In Fantasy Schedule page, and change the franchises in your fantasy schedule that way.

| 4. | How do I Change the Commissioner for our league? Answer: Once your league has been upgraded to a new 2008 league, have your old commissioner change the league commissioner email address to your email address on the For Commissioners > Setup > General League Setup screen.
Next, he will want to update the commissioner password by going to the For Commissioners > Setup > Change Commissioner Password screen to something temporary for you. Now you can log in as the commissioner with this temporary password and change it to something unique and secure.
Finally, make sure the correct franchise is selected on the For Commissioners > Setup > Select Commissioner's Franchise page.

| 5. | How do I Choose the Commissioner Franchise? Answer: Go to your For Commissioner > Setup > Select Commissioner's Franchise and here you can choose your team so that you can toggle back and forth as commissioner and owner without needing to log in and out.
NOTE: For leagues that have a commissioner and co-commissioner, if both select their franchise, only when logged in as the Owner will the option to change to Commissioner appear on the upper right hand corner. When logged in as commissioner the owners must log out and log in as their individual team.

| 6. | How do I allow (or prevent) my League Owners to Customize their home page? Answer: To allow league owners to have their own abilities to customize their home page go to the For Commissioner > Setup > Abilities Setup and check the boxes to allow owners to “Customize Home Page Appearance”.
If you had previously allowed owners to customize their league home page, and now want to make sure that they see your league home page exactly as you see it, you can un-check all of the "Customize Home Page Appearance" checkboxes, and then they will be forced to see the same league home page that you see.

| 7. | How do I Add a Co-Commissioner or a Co-Owner? Answer: To add another commissioner to your league go to the For Commissioner > Setup > General League Setup. Here you can enter the second commissioners email address (separated by a comma) and then save your league settings. You will now need to notify this commissioner of the password so that they can gain access to the league.
If you are wishing to have a co-owner for your franchise, this can be done by going to the For Owners > Franchise Setup screen. Here you can enter the second owners email address (separated by a comma), and then save the Setup page. Both owners will use the same password to log into the team.

Note that if you make alterations to this screen after selecting your League Schedule or defining your League Draft you will need to go and re-save your Schedule that you have chosen as well as your Draft Order.

Write League Articles.
Post to Message Board.

Check each of the above boxes to allow franchise owners the ability to perform the corresponding task. If your league has special requirements - for example, it you have a unique waiver system that the site cannot support - you should leave the Perform Waivers box unchecked so that franchise owners do not have the ability to do waivers on-line.
NOTE: Separate from the above settings, the commissioner may still be able to perform any of the above tasks on behalf of an owner (see Commissioner Abilities below for more information).
Commissioner Abilities
Commissioner Lockout - Select "Yes" to prevent commissioners from viewing pending owner-initiated transactions such as trade proposals, waiver requests, and blind bids and from using any For Owners screen (including the ability to change passwords and email addresses). Commissioners that manually process waivers will still be able to do so once the waiver window has closed. The League Bylaws
report (the Abilities Setup table) will always include a note when this option has been set
NOTE: To ensure the security of this option, every change to this setting will automatically send out an email to the entire list of franchises.
Reset Form - Click on this button to return the abilities to their original checked/unchecked state when you first entered this page. Selecting this button will NOT clear out all the abilities for all franchises.
When finished, you MUST click on the Save Franchise Abilities button in order to apply your changes.

| 13. | How do I use the Custom Franchise Order page? Answer: When a franchise order is unspecified - as in the case of the Standings report in the preseason, as well as the Rosters (and other) reports at any time - the franchise number (as defined in the For Owners > Franchise Setup screen) is used. Use this screen to specify the order of franchises in these situations.
When finished, you MUST click on the Save Custom Franchise Order button in order to apply your changes.

| 14. | How do I use the Select Commissioner's Franchise page? Answer: The purpose of this screen is to indicate which franchise in your league is owned by the league commissioner.
Once defined, this setting is used to instruct the site to know what franchise to display when the following Home Page Modules
are used while the commissioner is logged in.
- Franchise Roster
- Franchise Schedule
- My Options
Once specified, the commissioner can easily switch between the commissioner and franchise accounts using the "Become Commissioner" and "Become Owner" links located in the upper, right-hand corner of the screen.
NOTE: If more than one commissioner franchise is selected the "Become Owner" link will not appear on the upper right hand corner of the league. The commissioner will need to log out in order to log in as Owner status. Once logged in as an owner the link will appear to "Become Commissioner" on their league pages.
NOTE: Commissioners that are not participating as owners in the league should leave this setting at 'None'. In addition, commissioners that have previously defined this setting, but prefer to separate their franchise from commissioner account should change this setting back to 'None'.
When finished, you MUST click on the Save Changes button in order to apply your changes.

| 15. | How do I use the Delete A Franchise page? Answer: IMPORTANT NOTE: USE OF THIS SCREEN IS ENTIRELY AT THE COMMISSIONER'S OWN RISK. DELETING A FRANCHISE IS A ONE-WAY OPERATION THAT CANNOT BE RESTORED (EVEN BY MYFANTASYLEAGUE.COM TECHNICAL SUPPORT).
This screen is used by commissioners to remove a franchise permanently from a league. This should only be done when a commissioner wants to reduce the number of franchises. For leagues that instead want to replace one or more owners, please go to the Franchise Setup screen to change the owner information.
To actually remove a franchise, *carefully* select it from the list, read the disclaimer, check the checkbox, and click on the Now! button. There are NO other warnings and the franchise will be immediately deleted upon clicking the Now! button. Only one franchise can be removed at a time so this operation may need to be repeated. Be sure to verify the list of teams (use the Franchise Setup screen or one of the reports screens) immediately upon deletion.
