More Mid-Season Site Enhancements (Published Sun Nov 9 12:43:14 p.m. PT 2008)

We're happy to announce several more site enhancements that have been added to the site in the last several weeks, including:

  1. Five New Skins - including: Hunting, Fishing, Archery, Car Racing, and "MFL 2008", which mimics our home page look and feel, are available on the Select A Skin page.
  2. Player Profile Chart - when viewing the player profile report (that's the report you see when clicking on a player's name), there is a new "chart" link toward the top of the page to see that player's weekly fantasy scores charted against the top scoring player at his position for each week of the season - for an example, you can see Jay Cutler's chart.
  3. My Matchup Chart Home Page Module - the "Home Page Modules and Tabs Setup" page has a new home page module called "My Matchup Chart". This module displays a chart displaying the score over the course of the NFL week for your matchup (as well as all other matchups in your league) for the current week of the fantasy season. In addition, on Mondays, it will display a dashed line representing the projected player scores of all players you have going on Monday night.
  4. Monday Night Report Home Page Module - this home page module, also available on the "Home Page Modules and Tabs Setup" page, will display a summary of all matchups on Mondays. Matchups are all categorized as To Be Determined" (which are matchups where franchises have one or more players playing still on Monday night) or "In The Books". "To Be Determined" matchups will show the projected scores for all players on Monday night, giving everyone an idea of who might win or lose based on Monday night's results. Special thanks to "habman" from our community forums for his inspiration for this module!
  5. 10 New League Scoring Rules Available - there are several new league scoring rules we now support, including:
    1. Long Passing Plays of 20+ Yards
    2. Long Passing Plays of 30+ Yards
    3. Long Passing Plays of 40+ Yards
    4. Long Passing Plays of 50+ Yards
    5. Long Rushing Plays of 20+ Yards
    6. Long Rushing Plays of 40+ Yards
    7. Long Receptions of 20+ Yards
    8. Long Receptions of 40+ Yards
    9. Long Punt Returns of 40+ Yards
    10. Long Kickoff Returns of 40+ Yards
Note that all of these new individual player stats are not updated live during the games. Instead, they are updated about an hour after the games are finalized. So you won't see the points scored for these rules during the live scoring, but they will be automatically calculated shortly after the games are done.
  6. Several Fantasy Recap Enhancements - the "Reports > Franchise > Fantasy Recaps" report has several enhancements, including "call outs" for when a franchise or player scores in the top 25 for the all-time league history, a new "matchup chart" displaying player score progressions throughout the week, as well as when a franchise owner is especially lucky (or unlucky!) with their weekly opponent.
  7. Victory Points Adjuster - if your league uses "Victory Points", and you have special rules that we cannot automatically score for you, you can use the new "For Commissioners > Setup > Adjust Scores and Standings > Victory Points Adjuster" page to allow you to manually add or subtract any number of Victory Points to any franchise.

As always, please let us know if you have any comments, questions or other ideas for system enhancements by submitting a ticket to us from our Help Center.

Mid-Season Site Enhancements. (Published Tue Sep 30 12:16:12 p.m. PT 2008)

We're happy to announce a few site enhancements that have been added to the site since the start of the NFL season:

  1. Ability to specify "Game Of The Week" for Fantasy Recap report - the "Reports > Franchise > Fantasy Recaps" page has been updated so when a commissioner is viewing it, he can select which matchup he'd like to have the system highlight in the "Fantasy Recap - Game Of The Week" home page module.
  2. New League Scoring Rules Available - there are several new league scoring rules we now support, including:
    1. Targets - This is the number of times the player was targeted as the intended receiver on a passing play.
    2. Tackles for a Loss - This is the number of Tackles for a Loss in a game by a defensive player. These are sometimes also referred to as "stuffs". Players can have 1/2 tackles for loss if they shared the tackle with another player.
    3. Receiving First Downs - This is the number of Receiving First Downs gained by the player.
In addition, the following rules previously only applied to teams, but now can be applied to individual players:
    1. First Downs - This is the total number of First Downs for the team or player.
    2. Rushing First Downs - This is the number of Rushing First Downs gained by the team or player.
    3. Passing First Downs - This is the number of Passing First Downs gained by the team or player.
    4. Penalties - This is the total number of penalties against the team or player.
    5. Penalty Yards - This is the total yardage lost on all of the penalties by the team or player.
Note that all of these new individual player stats are not updated live during the games. Instead, they are updated about an hour after the games are finalized. So you won't see the points scored for these rules during the live scoring, but they will be automatically calculated shortly after the games are done.
  3. Increased file upload size - logos, icons and sound files that you upload to the MyFantasyLeague.com web site can now be 100kb in size. Previously, the limit for these uploads was 75kb.
  4. Top Site-Wide Survivor Picks home page module - the "Home Page Modules and Tabs Setup" page has a new home page module called "Top Site-Wide Survivor Picks" which shows you the top NFL team selected across all leagues that use the survivor pool option on the MyFantasyLeague.com web site.
  5. Turn off automatic refresh on the live scoring page - if you'd rather study the live scoring pages, rather than have them automatically refresh every 60 seconds, there is a new option on top of the live scoring web pages called "Stop Auto-Refresh".
  6. Edit number of free agent moves - for leagues that limit the number of free agent moves an owner can make in a given week or the entire season, there is a new option titled "For Commissioners > Setup > Transactions Setup > Edit Number Of Free Agent Moves", allowing a commissioner to edit these numbers in case of accidental free agent moves.

As always, please let us know if you have any comments, questions or other ideas for system enhancements by submitting a ticket to us from our Help Center.
