.Breaston catch-less in Week 11 (Rotoworld) Steve Breaston was held without a catch by the Rams in Week 11. Analysis: Breaston didn't even see a target. Larry Fitzgerald (87 yards, one TD) and Anquan Boldin (103 yards, TD) dominated all over the field. Breaston probably would've at least had some production if Kurt Warner hadn't missed the entire second half with a "mild" concussion. He should rebound in Week 12.3 hours
.Cardinals | Breaston untargeted Week 11 (KFFL) CBSSports.com reports Arizona Cardinals WR Steve Breaston wasn't targeted on a single pass Week 11. Breaston wasn't injured in the game and played his normal allotment. 3 hours
.Keller has a disappointing game (Rotoworld) Dustin Keller caught three passes for 38 yards in Sunday's loss to the Patriots. Analysis: Keller came back to earth after 14 catches in his previous two games. It wasn't surprising considering how well Brandon McGowan and the Patriots defend tight ends. He's a low-end TE1 against the Panthers next week.4 hours
.Cardinals | Hightower rushes for 110 yards Week 11 (KFFL) The Associated Press reports Arizona Cardinals RB Tim Hightower rushed 110 yards on 14 carries in Week 11. He was his first 100-yard game of the season. 4 hours
.Warner leaves with head injury (FFChamps) Arizona Cardinals' quarterback Kurt Warner left today's game against the St. Louis Rams after taking a blow to the head in the second quarter. Before exiting, Warner completed 15-of-19 passes, for 203 yards and two scores. He did not return in the second half, and Matt Leinart finished 10-of-14 for 74 yards in mop-up duty in a 21-13 Cardinals victory. Analysis: The extent of Warner's injury is unknown at this point, but at the ripe ol' age of 38, Kurt's fantasy owners have to be holding their breath a little bit today. If you are a Warner o... 6.Steve Breaston (RotoWire) Breaston (right knee) was not targeted as a receiver on Sunday. He returned two punts for a total of 19 yards. Analysis: This is very strange since Breaston came into the game averaging nearly eight targets per contest. The Cardinals completed 25-of-33 passes for 277 yards on Sunday, so there were a lot of balls to go around, at least in theory. Maybe Breaston's knee acted up, however, he still played as a punt returner and he was believed to be almost 100 percent heading into the game. At this point, Breaston's quiet Week 11 performance is a mystery.4 hours
.Boldin has huge day at St. Louis (Rotoworld) Anquan Boldin caught eight balls for 103 yards and a touchdown in the Cardinals' Week 11 win over St. Louis. Analysis: Boldin, healthier than every, now has back-to-back 100+ yard efforts. He was also highly efficient in this one, catching all but one of the balls thrown his way. Consider Boldin a borderline WR1 for Week 12 at Tennessee.4 hours
.Hightower has 16 touches in win (Rotoworld) Tim Hightower ran for 110 yards on 14 carries and caught two passes for 15 yards in the Cardinals' Week 11 win. Analysis: Hightower continued to start and rotate evenly with Beanie Wells. He also busted a 50-yard run in the first half -- the longest by an Arizona runner since 2004. Hightower's role does not appear to be in decline after a productive performance. He is a fine flex option in PPR leagues next week at Tennessee.4 hours
.Anquan Boldin (RotoWire) Boldin made eight receptions for 103 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's win over the Rams. Analysis: After sitting out in Week 9 to overcome a nagging ankle injury, Boldin has 16 catches for 208 yards in his last two games. A healthy Boldin is a candidate for a big game every week.4 hours
.Tim Hightower (RotoWire) Hightower rushed 14 times for a career-high 110 yards in Sunday's win over the Rams. He added two receptions for 15 yards. Analysis: He must like the Edward Jones Dome -- his previous career-high was a 109-yard performance there last season. While there is a lot to like about Hightower's Week 11 outing, the presence of his backfield mate Chris Wells is a growing concern. Wells scored another touchdown on Sunday (his third in Arizona's last two games) and he succeeded in a goal-to-go situation whereas Hightower did not. Hightower and Wells are splitting carries almost exactly down the middle and Hightower might be losing his previously strong grip on the Cardinal... (More)4 hours
.Peyton Manning (RotoWire) Manning threw for 299 yards with one touchdown and a pair of interceptions in Sunday's 17-15 win at Baltimore. Analysis: While Manning didn't have his best game statistically, he made his fair share of big plays, including a huge third-down-and-one conversion to Reggie Wayne late in the game to ice the win. Manning has thrown for 3,171 yards through 10 games and is still on pace to challenge Dan Marino's NFL record for most passing yards in a season (5,084 set in 1984).6 hours
.Colts | Manning passes for nearly 300 yards Week 11 (KFFL) The Associated Press reports Indianapolis Colts QB Peyton Manning went 22-for-31 for 299 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in Week 11. 6 hours
.Driver catches five balls in Week 11 (Rotoworld) Donald Driver caught five balls for 40 yards in Week 11. Analysis: Jermichael Finley led Green Bay in targets and Greg Jennings had a 121-yard game while Driver moved into the "No. 4" offensive option role, also behind Ryan Grant. Driver has been the No. 1-2 guy for most of this season. He figures to rebound with a big game next week against the Lions.6 hours
.Pierre Thomas totals over 100 yards (Rotoworld) Pierre Thomas ran for 92 yards on 11 carries and caught three balls for 11 yards in Week 11 at Tampa Bay. Analysis: Thomas played a very good game, averaging 8.4 YPC and breaking off several impressive runs into the Bucs' secondary to total over 100 yards for the fourth time this year. However, Thomas was pulled out in favor of Mike Bell consistently near the goal line. Thomas' scoring potential has taken a big hit. He's only a flex/RB2 fantasy option against the Patriots in Week 12.7 hours
.Devery Henderson catches just one pass (Rotoworld) Devery Henderson caught just one ball for -2 yards in Week 11. Analysis: While the Saints' game plans dictate which players will be featured in a given week, Henderson seems to be falling behind Robert Meachem in the competition for targets. The Saints started Sunday's game in a three-receiver set, with Henderson and Marques Colston out wide and Meachem in the slot. Consider Henderson end-of-roster material in all fantasy leagues.7 hours
.Taylor totals 85 yards in Week 11 win (Rotoworld) Chester Taylor rushed 11 times for 73 yards and caught two passes for 12 yards in Week 11 against the Seahawks. Analysis: Taylor was on the field in tandem with Adrian Peterson more than usual and got plenty of garbage time work late, turning a negative play into a 25-yard gain by going sideline to sideline on the game's penultimate play.7 hours
.Colts stay perfect with another narrow w... (Rotoworld) Peyton Manning completed 22-of-31 yards for 299 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions in Sunday's win over the Ravens. Analysis: Manning wasn't anywhere near his best, but it was just barely enough. The Ravens made a point of taking Dallas Clark out of the game so Manning was forced to go to the much more unreliable Tom Santi. Manning will be an elite option against the Texans next week.7 hours
.Jones-Drew nets 84 yards, TD in Week 11 ... (Rotoworld) Maurice Jones-Drew rushed 25 times for 66 yards and a touchdown and caught for passes for 18 yards Sunday as the Jaguars topped the Bills 18-15. Analysis: The Jags pounded the ball with Jones-Drew for most of the day, as expected. He had trouble breaking free, but still netted 84 yards and managed to find pay dirt on three-yard scamper in the second quarter. He remains a top fantasy play heading into next week's matchup with the 49ers.7 hours
.Pierre Thomas (RotoWire) Thomas should be in line for an expanded role with Reggie Bush unavailable against the Bucs on Sunday. Analysis: Mike Bell will still be a factor for the Saints also, but the absence of Bush may allow Thomas owners to take advantage of the opportunity for more touches against an inconsistent Tampa Bay defense.11 hours
.Saints inactives for Week 11 (FFChamps) The New Orleans Saints have declared the following players as inactive for today's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers: RB Reggie Bush, WR Lance Moore, CB Chris McAlister, DT Sedrick Ellis, CBs Jabari Greer and Tracy Porter, K Garrett Hartley, and LB Jonathan Casillas. Analysis: Bush finally appeared to be working his way into the Saints' offense in 2009, but his surgically-repaired knee flared up on him this week, and he will not play today against the Bucs. The defense is sho... (More)12 hours
.Henderson to return punts? (Rotoworld) Beat writer Jeff Duncan "guesses" that Devery Henderson will return punts for the Saints Sunday. Analysis: With Reggie Bush, Tracy Porter and Lance Moore both out, the Saints will likely turn to Henderson. It would be dangerous to use Pierre Thomas or Darren Sharper for health reasons. Henderson has never returned a punt in his NFL career.1 day
.Reggie Bush doesn't fly with team to Tampa Bay (FFToolbox) A source close to the New Orleans Saints told the Associated Press that running back Reggie Bush did not fly with the team for its game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. A team spokesman said Saturday that Bush had been downgraded on the official injury report from questionable with a knee injury. Bush missed all of practice this week with swelling in his left knee, the same knee on which he had surgery last December to repair cartilage. This will be the first game Bush has missed in 2009. He missed 10 of his previous 20 games before 2009. He is expected to return to practice next week. Bush has 484... (More)1 day
.Bush doesn't travel with team, out Sunday (FFChamps) According to ESPN.com, New Orleans Saints' running back Reggie Bush did not travel with the team to Tampa, and will not play Sunday against the Buccaneers. Bush missed practice this week due to swelling in his left knee, and the Saints are being especially cautious because it's the same knee that Bush had surgically repaired late last season. Analysis: Bush's absence gives Pierre Thomas' fantasy value a boost against the Buccaneers. The two practically play different positions, but Reggie is a scary red-zone option because of his versatilit... (More)1 day
.Saints | Three take reps as punt returners in practice (KFFL) Mike Triplett, of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, reports New Orleans Saints WR Devery Henderson, RB Pierre Thomas and FS Darren Sharper took reps in practice this week as punt returners in place of RB Reggie Bush (knee). 1 day
.Breaston limited Friday, should play Sunday (FFChamps) Arizona Cardinals' wide receiver Steve Breaston (knee) was limited in Friday's practice, but is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the St. Louis Rams. Analysis: Breaston should play, and the Cardinals will throw. The Rams' secondary gets torched on a regular basis, and this weekend should be no different. Breaston is a top-15 play at wideout this Sunday, and owners should insert him into their Week 11 starting lineups in all formats.1 day
.Stroud ruled out for Week 11 (FFChamps) Buffalo Bills' defensive tackle Marcus Stroud (knee) has been ruled out for the team's Week 11 matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Analysis: Buffalo has the worst run defense in the league. Stroud is Buffalo's best run-stopper. Maurice Jones-Drew scores touchdowns whenever he wants to. He plays the Bills this weekend. How do you see this story ending? MJD was our No. 1 fantasy play at running back this weekend whether the big fella in the middle for the Bills played or not, but without Stroud clogging the lanes, Jones-Drew will probably ... (More)2 days
.Moore out again (FFChamps) New Orleans Saints' wide receiver Lance Moore (ankle) has been officially ruled out for Week 11. Analysis: Moore's 2008 season is a distant memory in the bayou this year. Even if/when ever healthy again this year, Moore will likely be stuck behind the more physically gifted Robert Meachem and Devery Henderson on the depth chart. Colston is obviously the No. 1 in New Orleans, but lately opposing defenses have focused on stopping him (and, in turn, have slowed the Saints down as a whole). Their opponent this week, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, ha... (More)2 days
.Garcon questionable, but practices fully (FFChamps) Indianapolis Colts' wide receiver Pierre Garcon is listed as questionable to face the Baltimore Ravens in Week 11 because of his sore ankle, but practiced without restrictions again on Friday. Analysis: All indications are that Garcon is pretty much a lock to play this weekend against a once-feared Ravens' defense that will have a hard time stopping Peyton Manning and a presently-feared Colts' offense. Garcon practiced fully the last couple of days, and appears to be working through the ankle injury that kept him out of practice earlier in ... (More)2 days
.Bush misses third consecutive practice (FFChamps) New Orleans Saints' running back Reggie Bush missed his third straight practice on Friday. Bush has been experiencing trouble with his surgically-repaired knee all week, and is listed as questionable for his team's matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. Analysis: Bush's two-touchdown performance last weekend against the Rams is a big reason why the Saints are still undefeated. Though he doesn't really fit the prototype for any position in the NFL, Bush is a rare overall athlete, and he showed the impact he can have on a game last Sunday. There is a lot of speculation that Bush will not be ab... (More)2 days
.Saints | Three miss practice, out for Week 11 (KFFL) New Orleans Saints WR Lance Moore (ankle), CB Jabari Greer (groin) and CB Tracy Porter (knee) missed the team's practice Friday, Nov. 20, and are out for Week 11. 2 days
.Reggie Bush questionable for Sunday (FFToolbox) New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush missed practice for the third consecutive day Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Tampa Bay. Head coach Sean Payton said Bush knows the offense well enough that he could step in without the practice reps. But at the same time, he doesn't want to risk a setback with Bush, whose injury has been labeled a knee bruise. Although the knee that is bugging Bush is the same left knee that he had surgically-repaired this offseason, Payton said he's not concerned about this latest injury developing into a long-term problem. Analysis: Typical More)2 days
.Maurice Jones-Drew (RotoWire) Jones-Drew gets a great matchup this week against the Bills, who rank last in the NFL in run defense. Analysis: Not that you really need an excuse to start Jones-Drew, but this game has as much potential as Tennessee's Chris Johnson had heading into the Week 10 matchup against the Bills. They have several defensive starters out, including Marcus Stroud, and have been getting shredded by the run all season.2 days
.Lance Moore (RotoWire) Moore (ankle) has been ruled out of Sunday's game against Tampa Bay, the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports. Analysis: Moore hasn't played since Week 8 and will have to wait at least another week before making his return.2 days
.Breaston limited again (Rotoworld) Steve Breaston (knee, probable) was limited in Friday's practice. Analysis: Breaston, however, will be active at St. Louis. He's always a fine WR3 bet against porous defensive backfields. The Rams are 25th against the pass.2 days
.Steve Breaston (RotoWire) Breaston (right knee) is probable for Sunday's game. Analysis: He has been a fixture on the Cardinals' injury reports this season, but he participated in all of this week's practices and he should be available for normal duty as the Cardinals' third receiver and top punt returner on Sunday.2 days
.Cardinals | Breaston probable for Week 11 (KFFL) Darren Urban, of AZCardinals.com, reports Arizona Cardinals WR Steve Breaston (knee) was limited during practice Friday, Nov. 20. He is listed as probable for Week 11 and is expected to play. 2 days
.Lance Moore ruled out (Rotoworld) Lance Moore (ankle) has been ruled out for Week 11. Analysis: Moore, who has no timetable to return, is fantasy waiver wire fodder.2 days
.Maurice Jones-Drew (RotoWire) Jones-Drew, in the wake of the last-second kneel-down that cost thousands of fantasy owners their games on Sunday, has promised to score more to make up for his fantasy misdeed, according to ESPN.com. Analysis: Jones-Drew noted that "you should tell those 10,000 (the approximate number of ESPN players who lost their fantasy games last week due to Jones-Drew not scoring that final touchdown)) I will score next time."2 days
.Lance Moore (RotoWire) Moore (ankle) did not practice Thursday, the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports. Analysis: He's looking iffy, at best, for Sunday's game against the Bucs.3 days
.Lance Moore misses practice again (Rotoworld) Lance Moore (ankle) missed practice again Thursday. Analysis: Moore hasn't practiced since Week 8 and should be considered "week-to-week" with a high ankle sprain. Robert Meachem will continue to see extra snaps in his place.3 days
.Breaston should play Week 11 (TheHuddle) Updating a previous report, AZCardinals.com reports Arizona Cardinals WR Steve Breaston (knee) should be able to play in Week 11. Analysis: Breaston will return to his No. 3 role now that Anquan Boldin seems to have healed from his sprained ankle.3 days
.Cardinals | Breaston should play Week 11 (KFFL) Updating a previous report, Darren Urban, of AZCardinals.com, reports Arizona Cardinals WR Steve Breaston (knee) should be able to play in Week 11. 3 days
.Moore misses practice Thursday (TheHuddle) PewterReport.com reports New Orleans Saints WR Lance Moore (ankle) did not practice Thursday, Nov. 19. Analysis: If Moore misses yet another game this week, Robert Meachem will have a good shot at continuing his two-game touchdown streak.3 days
.Cardinals | Breaston limited Thursday (KFFL) Darren Urban, of AZCardinals.com, reports Arizona Cardinals WR Steve Breaston (knee) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 19. 3 days
.Steve Breaston limited Thursday (Rotoworld) Steve Breaston (knee) was limited again in Thursday's practice. Analysis: Breaston will play in his customary No. 3 receiver role against the Rams, and we have him ranked as the No. 28 fantasy option at wide receiver this week.3 days
.Saints | Moore misses practice Thursday (KFFL) Jim Flynn, of PewterReport.com, reports New Orleans Saints WR Lance Moore (ankle) did not practice Thursday, Nov. 19. 3 days
.Bush sits out practice (FFChamps) Saints running back Reggie Bush did not practice on Wednesday because of a knee injury. According to The New Orleans Times-Picayune, Bush was held out for precautionary reasons. Analysis: Bush wore a sleeve over his knee after tweaking it in last Sunday's game against the Rams and played fine afterwards. Missing practice on Wednesday does not raise any alarms on Bush for Sunday's game against the Bucs.4 days
.Steve Breaston (RotoWire) Breaston (right knee) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice. Analysis: He has been playing through this injury for months and he should do so again on Sunday against the Rams.4 days
.Cardinals | Breaston limited Wednesday (KFFL) Darren Urban, of AZCardinals.com, reports Arizona Cardinals WR Steve Breaston (knee) was limited in practice Wednesday, Nov. 18. 4 days
.Steve Breaston limited (Rotoworld) Steve Breaston (knee) was limited in Cardinals practice Wednesday. Analysis: Breaston is in no danger of sitting out Week 11 at St. Louis. He is coming off a four-reception, 79-yard, one-touchdown effort against the Seahawks.4 days
.Saints | Moore misses practice Wednesday (KFFL) Nakia Hogan, of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, reports New Orleans Saints WR Lance Moore (knee) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Nov. 18. 4 days
.Lance Moore misses practice (Rotoworld) Lance Moore (ankle) missed Saints practice on Wednesday. Analysis: Moore, sidelined since Week 8, has no known timetable for return.4 days
.Lance Moore (RotoWire) Moore (ankle) did not practice Wednesday, the New Orleans Times-Picayune's Jeff Duncan reports. Analysis: Moore hasn't been a fantasy option this season, but he's valuable to the Saints simply because he gives Drew Brees an additional weapon to deploy against opposing defenses. Moore has missed two games with the injury and his status for Sunday's tilt with the Buccaneers remains iffy.4 days
.Hightower gets vote of confidence (Rotoworld) Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt indicated Monday that Tim Hightower is still his starting running back. Analysis: Hightower is still the starter, but Beanie Wells is making his move. "We're not going to make Beanie the starter just to make Beanie the starter. ... The rotation we've got going now has been very effective, and we're pleased with that," Whisenhunt said. Consider Hightower a strong option only in PPR leagues against the Rams this week.5 days
.Donald Driver (RotoWire) Driver had four receptions for 50 yards in Sunday's win over the Cowboys. Analysis: Aaron Rodgers completed passes to 10 different receivers as the Packers relied on a bounty of short, quick throws to negate the pass rush and keep their quarterback upright. The balanced distribution prevented any receiver from having a big day, but it didn't stop Driver from posting his eighth straight game of at least 50 yards.6 days
.Dustin Keller (RotoWire) Keller had six catches for 58 yards in Sunday's loss to the Jaguars. Analysis: Keller's 38.6 yards per game are 17th in the league among tight ends, but on the plus side, he been more involved in the Jets' last two games, combining for 14 catches.6 days
.Tim Hightower (RotoWire) Even though he was outplayed by Chris Wells on Sunday, Hightower won't lose his starting role anytime soon, Arizona head coach Ken Whisenhunt told the team's official site on Monday. Analysis: Whisenhunt is committed to a time-share between Hightower and Wells. The fact that the two players should continue to split time is more important than the semantics of who starts. Hightower has carried 88 times for 320 yards and five touchdowns this season and Wells has carried 86 times for 395 yards and three touchdowns. Hightower has 45 receptions for 328 yards and Wells has six receptions for 49 yards. Whisenhunt seems to prefer Hightower in short-yardage and passing s... (More)6 days
.Peyton Manning (RotoWire) Manning was 28-of-44 for 327 yards with four touchdowns and two interceptions in Sunday's win over New England. Analysis: Manning threw two second half interceptions in a rare stretch of bad decisions, but rallied the Colts to score twice in the final three minutes to win the game. He'll face another tough game next week against Baltimore, but Manning looks set to have a historic season as he's on pace to break Dan Marino's 1984 record of 5,084 passing yards in a season.6 days
.MJD first to top 100 on Rex Ryan since 2... (Rotoworld) With 123 yards Sunday, Maurice Jones-Drew became the first running back to top 100 rushing yards against a Rex Ryan defense since Larry Johnson accomplished the feat in 2006. Analysis: Much of that can be attributed to the loss of NT Kris Jenkins (ACL), but Jones-Drew is enjoying an excellent season. He leads the league with 12 touchdowns while averaging 120 yards per game and 5.1 yards per carry in his first stint as the Jags' every-down back.6 days
.Colts | Manning throws four TD passes Week 10 (KFFL) The Associated Press reports Indianapolis Colts QB Peyton Manning was 28-for-44 for 327 yards with four touchdown passes and two interceptions Week 10 against the New England Patriots. 6 days
