.Morris questionable (FFChamps) Speaking to reporters from the Boston Globe today, New England Patriots' running back Sammy Morris said he felt "Sore, but good" and that he was taking his knee injury "day by day." Morris is listed as questionable to face the Jets this Sunday, and has not played since injuring the knee in Week 6. Analysis: The Patriots' are almost comically evasive about disclosing their players' injuries and status for upcoming games. Add in coach Bill Belichick's propensity to shuffle his backs around as the game dictates, and predicting which running back will reap the rewards of The Hoodie's o... (More)15 hours
.Coles probable (FFChamps) Cincinnati Bengals' wide receiver Laveranues Coles (head) practiced fully on Friday, and is listed as probable for the team's game versus the Oakland Raiders. Analysis: Coles will most likely be good-to-go for Sunday. You have to think Chad Ochocinco will be blanketed by all-world cover specialist Nnamdi Asomugha for most of the contest, so Coles may get even more looks than normal this weekend (though, as it stands, he has led the team in targets over the past two weeks). Coles is no longer the deep threat he was in New York, but he is a v... (More)16 hours
.Sammy Morris feels 'good' for Sunday (FFToolbox) The New England Patriots' backfield is about to get a little more muddled. With injuries sidelining Sammy Morris and Fred Taylor for the past month, it was clear that Laurence Maroney was the team's No. 1 back, with Kevin Faulk pitching in. Last week, Maroney fumbled near the goal line against the Colts and that led to more carries for Faulk. Now it looks as if Morris is ready to return from his Oct. 18 knee injury. Morris participated in a full week of practices for the first ... (More)16 hours
.Stafford participates fully (FFChamps) Detriot Lions' quarterback Matthew Stafford participated fully in the team's Friday practice, and will start Sunday at home against the Browns. Analysis: This is the first time in over a month that Stafford hasn't been "limited" in practice. The rookie has been inconsistent in his inaugural campaign, but he has a howitzer attached to his right shoulder, and already gives the Lions their best chance to win week-to-week. His presence optimizes Calvin Johnson's fantasy value, as well, as Stafford recognizes Megatron is exponentially better than any other option he has currently running routes in Motown... 5.Patriots | Taylor misses practice Friday, out for Week 11 (KFFL) New England Patriots RB Fred Taylor (ankle) missed the team's practice Friday, Nov. 20, and is out for Week 11. 18 hours
.Calvin Johnson (RotoWire) Johnson was limited in Friday's practice by a hand injury, but is listed as probable for Sunday's game against Cleveland, the Lions' official site reports. Analysis: We're not sure how he suffered the injury -- he may have just bumped it in Thursday's practice -- but Johnson's status for Sunday doesn't appear to be in jeopardy.21 hours
.Coles to face the Raiders (Rotoworld) Laveranues Coles (head, probable) practiced in full Friday. Analysis: Coles will face the Raiders, but isn't a recommended fantasy play.23 hours
.Bengals | Coles probable for Week 11 (KFFL) Joe Reedy, of The Cincinnati Enquirer, reports Cincinnati Bengals WR Laveranues Coles (head) participated in practice Friday, Nov. 20. He is listed as probable for Week 11 and will be able to play. 23 hours
.Laveranues Coles (RotoWire) Coles (head) practiced fully Friday and is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Raiders, the Bengals' official site reports. Analysis: It looks safe to roll with Coles, who has 11 catches over his last two games, as you normally would.1 day
.Fred Taylor not back to practice (Rotoworld) Fred Taylor (ankle surgery) still has not resumed practicing. Analysis: It's impressive that the Pats have been able to keep him off injured reserve so long. Taylor hasn't played or practiced in seven weeks and remains without a timetable for return. He's deservedly on most fantasy waiver wires.1 day
.Heap nursing sore ribs (FFChamps) Baltimore Ravens tight end Todd Heap missed his second straight day of practice on Thursday because of sore ribs on his left side. He sustained the injury in the first half of their Monday night game against the Browns, but managed to play the entire game. On Thursday, offensive coordinator Cam Cameron told the Carroll County Times that Heap's injury is, "not a concern to my knowledge." Analysis: In other words, Cameron can't comment on player's injuries. Heap may have to sit out this week's game against the Colts or, at a minimum, give way to More)1 day
.Jake Delhomme (RotoWire) Delhomme completed 19-of-42 attempts for 227 yards, a touchdown and an interception in Thursday's loss to Miami. Analysis: The Panthers strayed from the ground-heavy game plan that has been vital in their midseason turnaround over the last few weeks, throwing 42 passes and handing the ball off to running backs DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart 25 times. In addition to his own inconsistent play, Delhomme lacks talent in his receiving corps beyond top wideout Steve Smith, which ultimately leads to struggles when the Panthers air it out.1 day
.R. Williams scores three TDs Week 11 (TheHuddle) The Associated Press reports Miami Dolphins RB Ricky Williams had 22 carries for 119 yards with two touchdowns Week 11. He also caught two passes for 19 receiving yards with another touchdown. It was the first time in his career Williams had a receiving and rushing touchdown in the same game. Analysis: Is this a taste of the Dolphins' offense with Ronnie Brown on the shelf? If so, those holding Williams have to be excited about the prospects. Lex Hilliard received some token touches, including a surprising one on fourth down late in the game, but there's no question this is Williams' show the rest... (More)1 day
.Coles limited Thursday (TheHuddle) Joe Reedy, of the Cincinnati Enquirer, reports Bengals WR Laveranues Coles was limited in practice Thursday, Nov. 19, and his status for Week 11 is uncertain. Analysis: Coles is listed as having a head injury, and NFL teams have shown they're taking more precautions with those types of injuries so don't take that "uncertain" status with just a grain of salt. The match-up with a solid Oakland secondary doesn't help Coles' fantasy prospects, either.1 day
.Brown to undergo surgery on foot (FFChamps) Dolphins running back Ronnie Brown will undergo surgery on Friday to repair the Lisfranc fracture in his right foot, according to the Miami Herald. He is expected to be ready to play football again next year, though a specific timetable for his recovery has not been announced. Analysis: Tracking Brown's progress will be one of the top offseason injury storylines for fantasy owners to track. Meanwhile, Ricky Williams will reap the benefits of his absence the final six games of the season.1 day
.Dolphins | R. Williams scores three TDs Week 11 (KFFL) The Associated Press reports Miami Dolphins RB Ricky Williams had 22 carries for 119 yards with two touchdowns Week 11. He also caught two passes for 19 receiving yards with another touchdown. It was the first time in his career Williams had a receiving and rushing touchdown in the same game. 1 day
.Delhomme throws for 227 yards in loss (Rotoworld) Jake Delhomme completed 19-of-42 passes for 227 yards, one touchdown, and one interception against the Dolphins in Week 11. He added two scrambles for 17 yards. Analysis: The coaching staff tried to coddle Delhomme's burgeoning confidence, calling more pass plays and ultimately damaging the team's chances of winning. Delhomme started a relatively strong 5-of-9 for 59 yards but fell apart thereafter while the playcallers continued to neglect a dominant rushing attack. Delhomme didn't completely melt down, however, so he's in no danger of losing his job going into next week's game against the Jets.1 day
.Ginn held to 32 yards in Week 11 (Rotoworld) Ted Ginn caught four passes for 32 yards against the Panthers in Week 11. Analysis: Ginn started for the second straight week, but he rotated with Greg Camarillo and Brian Hartline. His six targets tied Davone Bess for the team lead, and the four receptions are his most since Week 2. He's still not worthy of a roster spot in 12-team leagues.1 day
.Ricky runs Dolphins to victory behind 3 ... (Rotoworld) Ricky Williams rushed 22 times for 119 yards and two touchdowns and added two receptions for 19 yards and another touchdown to lead the Dolphins past the Panthers Thursday night, 24-17. Analysis: Ricky showed nice hands and good balance on his first score, a 14-yard catch-and-run. Operating out of the Wildcat, Ricky added a diving 1-yard run, nailing the pylon for his second score of the second quarter. He sealed the game with a 46-yard tackle-shedding touchdown late in the fourth quarter after the Panthers had moved to within one score. The Dolphins' new workhorse, an ageless Ricky is a must-start RB1 against th... (More)1 day

.Dolphins inactives for Week 11 (FFChamps) The Miami Dolphins have announced the following players as inactive for tonight's game against the Carolina Panthers: TE Anthony Fasano, LB Erik Walden, OT Andrew Gardner, DE Lionel Dotson, OT Lydon Murtha, DT Paul Soliai, RB Nate Ness, and QB Tyler Thigpen. In addition, running back Ronnie Brown is on injured reserve with a Lisfranc injury. Analysis: The big news remains the fact that Brown is done for the year. Ricky Williams will shoulder the load at running back, but fantasy ... (More)1 day
.Laveranues Coles (RotoWire) Coles was listed as limited at Thursday's practice with a head injury, the Bengals' official site reports. Analysis: Coles practiced Wednesday, so we'll have to see what details become available reagrding his status leading up to Friday's injury report.1 day
.Coles limited Thursday with head injury (Rotoworld) Laveranues Coles was added to the Bengals injury report Thursday as limited with a head injury. Analysis: Coles is banged up, but he's not expected to miss this week's game at Oakland. While he does have 11 catches in his last two games, Coles is a weak WR3 option on Sunday.1 day
.Cowboys | Folk may handle kickoff duties Week 11 (KFFL) Charean Williams, of the Fort-Worth Star Telegram, reports Dallas Cowboys PK Nick Folk will handle kickoff duties in Week 11 if PK David Buehler (toe) is not able to play. 2 days
.Brown has Lisfranc fracture (FFChamps) Ronnie Brown's season ended yesterday because the Dolphins suspect he has a Lisfranc fracture in his right foot, according to the Miami Herald. The paper reports that Brown traveled to Charlotte to visit Dr. Bob Anderson, a foot specialist who will add his input about the severity of the issue. A Lisfranc fracture may or may not require surgery, but in either case the injury is significant enough to end his season. Analysis: The good thing is that, according to the report in the Herald, this should not have any long-term effects on Brown. However, try telling that to fantasy owners next summer when th... 27.Ronnie Brown placed on injured reserve (FFToolbox) Miami Dolphins running back Ronnie Brown has seen the field for the last time in 2009. The team placed him on injured reserve Wednesday, ending his season. Brown left the team's game Sunday with a foot injury, the extent of which has yet to be disclosed. But it is believed to be a mid-foot sprain or a Lisfranc fracture. With him out of the picture, Ricky Williams becomes the team's No. 1 back, while Lex Hilliard -- who has yet to get a carry in his two-year career -- is expecte... (More)2 days
.Season over for Brown (FFChamps) Ronnie Brown's season is over. The Miami Dolphins placed their starting running back on injured reserve Wednesday, as first reported by ESPN's Adam Schefter on Twitter. Brown suffered a foot injury during last Sunday's game against the Buccaneers, the exact nature of which has yet to be revealed. Analysis: The worst fears of fantasy owners have been realized, as Brown is now officially done for the year. Ricky Williams takes over as the starting running back the rest of the way and will need to shoulder nearly the full load because the Dolp... (More)2 days
.Ricky Williams (RotoWire) Williams will take over as the Dolphins' lead back with news that Ronnie Brown has landed on IR. Analysis: Given how productive Williams has been as Brown's sidekick, his owners have to be doing cartwheels as this should provide a nice boost to his fantasy value. Lex Hilliard now becomes the player to target if you are looking to insure Williams.2 days
.Patriots | Taylor misses practice Wednesday (KFFL) Monique Walker, of the Boston Globe, reports New England Patriots RB Fred Taylor (ankle) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Nov. 18. 2 days
.R. Williams could handle direct wildcat snaps (TheHuddle) The Palm Beach Post report Miami Dolphins RB Ricky Williams could handle the direct snaps in the wildcat formation in the absence of RB Ronnie Brown (foot), according to head coach Tony Sparano. Analysis: With the wildcat being a big part of the Dolphins weekly game plan they will surely try to keep it going with a shift in personnel instead of scraping it due to Brown's injury. How effective the formation will be now without its primary playmaker is the big question going into this week's matchup in New England.3 days
.Dolphins | Pennington injury update (KFFL) Armando Salguero, of the Miami Herald, reports Miami Dolphins QB Chad Pennington (shoulder) said Tuesday, Nov. 17, he has completed the first phase of his rehabilitation from season-ending shoulder surgery and now must map out a recovery program for the next six weeks. At this stage, Pennington said, he's not certain if he will play again. He might not make that decision until March. However, regardless of what that decision is, the chances of Pennington playing for the Dolphins again are quite slim. The team has a starting quarterback in QB Chad Henne. They have committed time and resources on making backup QB Pat White a su... (More)3 days
.Brown out (FFChamps) The Miami Dolphins will be without running back Ronnie Brown when they face the Panthers on Thursday night. Head coach Tony Sparano confirmed the expected absence on Tuesday, according to the Miami Herald. Brown injured his right foot and ankle during last Sunday's game against the Buccaneers and will reportedly see a specialist about his injuries. ProFootballTalk.com is citing a league source as suggesting there is some concern that Brown's season might be over. Analysis: We're not ruling Brown out for the season quite yet, but fantasy owners should be planning accordingly just in case. More)3 days
.Dolphins | R. Williams could handle direct snaps in wildcat (KFFL) Edgar Thompson and Carlos Frias, of the Palm Beach Post, report Miami Dolphins RB Ricky Williams could handle the direct snaps in the wildcat formation in the absence of RB Ronnie Brown (foot), according to head coach Tony Sparano. 3 days
.Ronnie Brown could be out for rest of season (FFToolbox) As the week has gone on, it seems as if the news on Ronnie Brown's availability has gotten increasingly pessimistic. His ankle injury turned into a foot and ankle injury. And now, while he was already ruled out for Thursday's game against the Carolina Panthers, he could be out for much longer -- like the rest of the season. The Dolphins have not publicly acknowledged that the team fears Brown will miss the remainder of the season, but per a league source, the current thinking is that Brown will not be able to play again this year. This could change based upon the advice of the specialist that Brown ... (More)3 days
.Pennington unlikely to rejoin Fins (Rotoworld) Dolphins beat writer Armando Salguero calls the odds of impending free agent Chad Pennington (shoulder surgeries) re-signing with Miami "very slim." Analysis: Salguero says the Fins have already found their starter (Chad Henne) and backups of the future (Pat White, Tyler Thigpen). Pennington is considered unlikely to settle for a clear-cut backup role. The Browns, Redskins, Panthers, Rams, Bills, Titans, 49ers, and perhaps Denver and Oakland will be looking for QB help this offseason, so there is no shortage of potential destinations.3 days
.Ricky Williams (RotoWire) With Ronnie Brown (ankle) out for Thursday's game against the Panthers, Williams is a must start in most fantasy leagues. Analysis: Williams is having a productive season despite only touching the ball 10-12 times a game. With Brown out, Williams' should see at least double his regular touches and Carolina's defense is not very stout against the run. Williams is a low RB1 or high RB2 option this week.3 days
.Still have confidence in Maroney (TheHuddle) The Boston Herald reports the New England Patriots still have confidence in RB Laurence Maroney after his costly fumble in the red zone against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 10. 'Offensively and from a coaching standpoint, we have a lot of confidence in Laurence and his ability and I'm sure he's anxious to bounce back this week. The next opportunity that arises, he'll look to step up to the challenge,' director of player personnel Nick Caserio said. Analysis: Maroney will probably still get his normal amount of carries this week, even though Sammy Morris is expected to return Week 11 against the Je... (More)3 days
.Dolphins | R. Williams to start in Week 11 (KFFL) The Associated Press reports Miami Dolphins RB Ricky Williams will start at running back in Week 11 Thursday, Nov. 19, with RB Ronnie Brown (foot) out. He will also be the primary target in the wildcat formation. 3 days
.Patriots | Still have confidence in Maroney (KFFL) The Boston Herald reports the New England Patriots still have confidence in RB Laurence Maroney after his costly fumble in the red zone against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 10. "Offensively and from a coaching standpoint, we have a lot of confidence in Laurence and his ability and I'm sure he's anxious to bounce back this week. The next opportunity that arises, he'll look to step up to the challenge," director of player personnel Nick Caserio said. 3 days
.Pats express confidence in Maroney (Rotoworld) Patriots director of player personnel Nick Caserio expressed confidence in Laurence Maroney following his late-game fumble that led to the Colts' dramatic comeback Sunday night. Analysis: "We have a lot of confidence in Laurence and his ability and I'm sure he's anxious to bounce back this week," said Caserio. It remains to be seen if Bill Belichick feels the same way. With Sammy Morris (knee) due back this week, Maroney will be a risky fantasy option against the Jets.3 days
.Dolphins | Pennington's rehab under way (KFFL) The Associated Press reports Miami Dolphins QB Chad Pennington (shoulder, nose) has started his rehab following shoulder surgery. He will consult with Dr. James Andrews Wednesday, Nov. 18, where a recovery program will be mapped out for the next six weeks. Pennington said he may wait until March to decide whether he will return for the 2010 season. 3 days
.Pennington starts comeback from surgery (Rotoworld) Though Chad Pennington has completed the first phase of his rehab from shoulder surgery, he won't make a final decision on playing next season until March. Analysis: Dr. James Andrews will come up with a six-week program for the next phase of Pennington's rehab. If he doesn't experience a setback from his third surgery to the right shoulder, he'll be left with another decision of whether to return to Miami as a backup or seek competition for a starting job elsewhere.3 days
.Ricky Williams to start in Week 11 (Rotoworld) Ricky Williams will start against the Panthers on Thursday night. Analysis: Williams is a good bet to receive 20+ touches against a defense that allows the eighth most fantasy points to opposing running backs. Averaging a gaudy 5.3 yards per carry and 10.7 yards per reception, Ricky is a Top-10 fantasy option this week.3 days
.Bowe suspended four games (FFChamps) Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe has been suspended four games for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing drugs. The announcement was made today via email from the league and the suspension will begin immediately. Analysis: You can stick a fork in the fantasy values of Bowe and Matt Cassel. Bowe will not be cleared to play again until Week 15, by which time most teams will be out of the fantasy playoffs. Give a slight bump up in the values of Chris ChambersMore)4 days
.Matt Cassel (RotoWire) Cassel's top wideout Dwayne Bowe was suspended four games on Tuesday for violating the NFL performance enhancing drug policy, the KC Star reports. Analysis: Chris Chambers, Mark Bradley and Lance Long will likely see the extra targets in Bowe's absence, but Cassel gets a slight downgrade without his most productive wideout available over the next four weeks.4 days
.Laveranues Coles (RotoWire) For the second week in a row, Coles led the Bengals in catches and receiving yards in Sunday's win over the Steelers, hauling in five passes for 67 yards. Analysis: Given the slugfest nature of this game, the relatively low output isn't much of a concern. Many of Coles' receptions were key plays that moved the chains for the Bengals.4 days
.Chad Johnson (RotoWire) Johnson had his worst game of the season in the Week 10 win over the Steelers, catching just two passes for 29 yards. Analysis: Johnson was frequently targeted over the middle, but he and Carson Palmer could not hook up very often, and later he was exclusively in double-coverage.4 days
.Brown unlikely to play Thursday (FFChamps) Put Dolphins running back Ronnie Brown on your fantasy bench for this week. "Barring a dramatic and unexpected recovery by Thursday," Brown will not be able to play against the Panthers on Thursday night, according to the Miami Herald. Brown is not practicing and has both a right ankle and right foot injury. The ankle injury is said to be a short-term issue, whereas the foot injury is reportedly more of a long-term problem, according to the Herald. The specific nature of the injuries has not been disclosed. Analysis: Count Brown out and plan to play More)4 days
.Dolphins | Comfortable with Williams if Brown out (KFFL) Carlos Frias, of the Palm Beach Post, reports Miami Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano said he is completely comfortable with having RB Ricky Williams take a bulk of the carries in Week 11 if RB Ronnie Brown (ankle, foot) is not able to play. 4 days
.Dolphins poised to use Ricky as featured... (Rotoworld) Dolphins coach Tony Sparano says he is "completely comfortable" using Ricky Williams as an every-down back with Ronnie Brown (foot/ankle) out. Analysis: Ricky can handle direct snaps in the Wildcat, is averaging 5.3 YPC with seven all-purpose scores on the season, and doesn't limit anything the Fins do in their base offense. He'll start and be a safe bet for 20 touches Thursday night against a Panthers defense that ranks 25th against the run and was gashed for 204 total yards and a touchdown by Atlanta's running backs in Week 10.4 days
.Ronnie Brown has multiple foot injuries, is surely out of Thursday's game (FFToolbox) Miami Dolphins running back Ronnie Brown left Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a sprained ankle. However, that's not even the injury that worries the team most. According to Jay Glazer of FOX Sports, Brown also has a foot injury that has the team very concerned. He will certainly miss the team's game on Thursday against the Carolina Panthers. It is unknown if Brown has a mid-foot sprain, also known as a Lisfranc injury, which could keep him out for quite a while. Brown went down midway through the third quarter after he broke a long run and then fumbled while fighting for extra ya... (More)5 days
.Jake Delhomme (RotoWire) Delhomme completed 15-of-24 passes for 195 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's win over the Falcons. Analysis: It's becoming easy to forget that Delhomme was nearly replaced as the Panthers' starting quarterback prior to their Week 8 win over the Cardinals, but he's cut out the turnovers over the last three games while losing just one fumble and posting a 3:0 TD:INT ratio. Delhomme still shouldn't be deployed as an every-week starter, but he can be a useful one-week plug-in with the right matchups down the stretch.5 days
.Gross undergoes ankle surgery (FFChamps) Updating an earlier report, Carolina Panthers left tackle Jordan Gross underwent surgery Sunday night to repair his broken right ankle. The team will reportedly place him on injured reserve later today, ending his season. Analysis: This is obviously a huge loss for the Panthers offense. You just don't replace a Pro Bowl left tackle. Jake Delhomme's blind side will be pressured more often now, which is never a good thing for a quarterback who turns the ball over as often as he does.5 days
.Ronnie Brown on crutches after win (FFToolbox) The Miami Dolphins have just three days to prepare for their game at the Carolina Panthers on Thursday night. That means that running back Ronnie Brown has three days to heal fast enough so that he can play in that game. Brown hurt his right ankle in the third quarter against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. He limped off the field, was assisted off the field by teammates and later hobbled to the locker room during Miami's 25-23 win. Brown was on crutches following the game and it's unclear how long he'll have them. X-rays turned out to be negative, but Brown will undergo an MRI on Monday. Brown ... (More)5 days
.Maroney held to 46 net yards in loss to ... (Rotoworld) Laurence Maroney rushed 13 times for 31 yards and a touchdown and caught two passes for 15 yards in Week 10 against the Colts. Analysis: Maroney burst through for a one-yard touchdown run on the Pats' second drive of the game. But Kevin Faulk was trusted with nearly as many carries and gained more yards with the opportunities. Maroney is a matchup-to-matchup fantasy back and a little too inconsistent for most leagues.5 days
.Ted Ginn (RotoWire) After receiving his starting job back before the game, Ginn caught exactly zero passes in Week 10. Analysis: The only reason Miami keeps giving Ginn chances to start is that he is the only deep threat on the team, but he doesn't get open consistently, and drops too many passes.5 days
.Cassel has ugly game in win over Raiders (Rotoworld) Matt Cassel completed 19-of-34 passes for 216 yards and one interception in the Chiefs' 16-10 victory over the Raiders. Analysis: Cassel didn't play particularly well, as the Chiefs' offense was carried by Jamaal Charles. Cassel looked to be staring his receivers down early in the game, as he came close to another interception or two. Don't play Cassel next week against the Steelers.5 days
.Patriots inactives for Week 10 (FFChamps) The New England Patriots have announced the following players as inactive for today's game against the Indianapolis Colts: RB Sammy Morris, RB Fred Taylor, T Matt Light, DE Jarvis Green, LB Eric Alexander, G Rich Ohrnberger, CB Shawn Springs, and DE Ty Warren. Analysis: Laurence Maroney should get a majority of the carries for the Patriots as they get set for the Colts on Sunday Night Football. Maroney has scored a touchdown in each of the last three games.5 days
.Ricky Williams (RotoWire) Williams carried the ball 12 times for a game-high 102 yards in Sunday's 25-23 win over Tampa Bay. Analysis: Williams was a non-factor for most of the game, but stepped up big in the second half when Ronnie Brown left with an ankle injury, ripping off a 27-yard run in the final minute to set up the game-winning field goal. Williams could of course be a monster if the injury to Brown turns out to be serious. At the very least, Williams could be in line for a big workload in Week 11 because Miami plays on Thursday and Brown might not have enough time to recover, even if the ankle is not a major problem.5 days

.Brown leaves with ankle injury (FFChamps) Miami Dolphins' running back Ronnie Brown left in the third quarter of Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a right ankle injury, and did not return. Analysis: The Dolphins got a strong relief effort from Ricky Williams (102 yards on 20 carries), after Brown had been equally productive throughout the first half, and into the third quarter (amassing 82 yards on 12 rushes, with a score, before he went downo). Details of Brown's injury are not yet known, but it appeared to be a little more than a tweak. Williams, already having ... (More)5 days
.Delhomme on point in Week 10 victory (Rotoworld) Jake Delhomme completed 15-of-24 passes for 195 yards and two touchdowns and added 11 yards on the ground against the Falcons in Week 10. Analysis: Delhomme was at his best Sunday, taking care of the ball, managing the offense, and even picking up a big first-down on the ground. He's now gone two games without an interception, which qualifies as significant progress. With left tackle Jordan Gross out for the season, Delhomme is unlikely to be even an attractive QB2 the rest of the way.5 days
.Johnson looks healthy in loss (Rotoworld) Calvin Johnson caught eight passes for 84 yards in Sunday's loss to the Vikings. Analysis: Johnson's knee looked completely fine. He did take a shot over the middle in the second half and may have had the wind knocked out of him, but he didn't miss any plays. The Vikings had a safety on top of Johnson all day and prevented any huge plays, but it's an encouraging game for Megatron's owners.5 days
.Panthers LT Gross breaks ankle (FFChamps) Panthers left tackle Jordan Gross broke his right ankle in their 28-19 win over Atlanta on Sunday. The injury occurred in the second quarter when a Falcons player fell into Gross' leg, which bent it awkwardly. Coach John Fox told The Associated Press after the game that doctors told him Gross’ ankle was broken, leaving Carolina without their best offensive lineman indefinitely. Analysis: Travelle Wharton replaced Gross at left tackle and Mackenzy Bernadeau replaced Wharton at left guard for the remainder of the game, but there's no easy way to replace a left tackle who has started every game since 2003.5 days
.Ted Ginn finishes without a catch (Rotoworld) Despite regaining his starting job from Brian Hartline in Week 10, Ted Ginn did not record a catch. Analysis: Ginn did take over on punt returns (he's also Miami's primary kickoff returner) after a muff by Davone Bess, but dropped a potential 40-yard bomb in the first quarter and wasn't heard from on offense the rest of the way. Ginn is barely worth owning in shallow, non-return yardage leagues.5 days
.Ricky gets 107 total yards, 22 touches (Rotoworld) Ricky Williams rumbled for 102 yards on 20 carries and caught two passes for five yards in the Dolphins' Week 10 win. Analysis: Williams rotated with Ronnie Brown and wasn't in for Miami's first-quarter goal-line carry, but Brown went out with a potentially serious ankle injury in the third and Williams took over as the Dolphins' every-down back. The surprisingly productive 32-year-old will be an excellent RB2 play if Brown is out in Week 11 against Carolina. We're betting he will be.5 days
.Ocho doesn't get to do his dance (Rotoworld) Chad Ochocinco was held to two catches for 29 yards in Sunday's win over the Steelers. Analysis: No mustard on this hot dog as Chad has his worst game of the season. Ochocinco ran some really crisp routes but couldn't shake the second level of the Steelers' secondary. Chalk it up as a bad day and expect bigger things against the Raiders next week despite Nnamdi Asomugha's presence.5 days
.Coles looks good again in win (Rotoworld) Laveranues Coles caught five passes for 67 yards in Sunday's win over the Steelers. Analysis: After some early-season struggles with drops, Coles is gaining the trust of Carson Palmer. He's not a big-play threat but does have 11 catches in his last two games.
